In December, General Manager Chris Bernauer announced that Indian Motorcycle Kings Mountain, North Carolina manufacturing plant has released the 2009 Indian Chief Motorcycle.
Indian announced that after almost 5 years of no bikes, that the first shipments of 2009 Indian Chiefs are available at Indian dealerships across the country.
It sure is nice to see that in eighteen months, Indian Motorcycle company has gone from design, to prototype, to motorcycle builds all from a warehouse to construction and build-out of its factory along with what is considered in the motorcycle industry as “state of the art” dealership development program’s and highly successful testing of all four models of the Indian Chief: Standard, Deluxe, Roadmaster and Vintage.
Bernauer says that “our goal for the future is to build a small and distinguished business delivering world class products and customer service.
“We currently have dealers in Charlotte, Phoenix, Detroit, Wichita, Paducah (KY), Pittsburgh and Omaha. Many more locations will be opening in the Spring and Summer of 2009. If customers do not yet have a dealer near them, they are welcome to visit the Charlotte, NC, area and we’ll provide a tour of the factory and a visit to the beautiful Charlotte dealership.
