Daytona Beach Bike Week or Biketoberfest

by Boss Hawg on November 30, 2008

When you ride your motorcycle to Daytona Beach Bike Week or Biketoberfest don’t forget to take you camera and ride your motorcycle through the Tomoka State Park Loop.

Click on photo for MAP of the loop

The Loop is the most scenic route in the area to ride your motorcycle.  It is approximately 33 miles of double roadways that run to the west of the Halifax river starting at Granada Blvd. and to the east starting on A1A running the Atlantic coast.  Being accessed from either the west or east you can exit out at many points between Ormond Beach and Flagler Beach.

“The Loop” takes about an hour at a leisurely pace. This ride is some of the most diverse and beautiful natural scenery on the east coast.  You will see roadway views that vary from historic dwellings, private homes, creeks, marshes, breath taking oak canopies, dunes, Atlantic Ocean, river vistas, Tomoka and Bulow Creek State Parks, seasonal ducks, wading birds, people crabbing and fishing all with ready access to the ocean just waiting to be photographed.

We like to start around 11 am working our way north and have lunch on the Atlantic at a very good little biker bar and restaurant called the High Tides at Snack Jacks on A1A directly on the water about 4 miles south of Flagler Beach.  They even have Valets put down motorcycle kickstand pads for ya…can’t beat that. And if you don’t like our choice, try this Dining Directory of the area restaurants, you should surely find food for you palate here.

This is a Daytona Bike Week and Biketoberfest must.  Then of course there is the Sopotnicks Cabbage Patch Bar and coleslaw wrestling at its finest during the day and Main Street at night.

Enjoy!

Thank you! It is a wonderful sight and pleasing ride. We rode down from St. Simons Island last Friday and rode through the Tomoka Loop.
