Well…Big Dog Motorcycles has finally upgraded their website. Now you can see their new 2009 Custom Motorcycle model lineup. However, the Touring Model (Bagger) is scheduled to be launched later this month although Big Dog has released a few photos of the Bagger without a fairing which we choose not to show here until it is complete.
Big Dog Motorcycles Chopper line-up includes their fattest tire motorcycles. The K-9 is America’s number one chopper and the K-9 is a Softail with hidden rear shocks. The Ridgeback at 9 feet long is a rigid frame. Both these Big Dog Models are stretched and have 1.5-inch beefy frames with 39 degrees of rake 12-over front-ends.
Big Dog’s ProStreet model Line-up for 2009 include the Pitbull and Mastiff that will now be joined by two new models to commemorate Big Dog’s 15 years as the leader in custom production motorcycles. The lower priced but very sexy looking Coyote and the all new leading edge flagship of the line, will be the Wolf and both of these are two hot motorcycles.
The Wolf is a ProStreet with it’s front wheel built around the large 23-inch chromed forged billet wheel with a 3-over 41-mm front-end with 45-degree rake which is a combination of 40-degrees in the frame’s neck rake plus five-degrees in the triple trees. The rear wheel is built around a 20-inch 220 rear that connects with 7 inches of backbone stretch, a backbone that’s claimed to be so over-built that there’s no twisting. It is very impressive when coupled with S&S Cycle’s 121 cubic-inch X-Wedge engine. The air-cooled X-Wedge is the first 49-state certified V-Twin that meets the 2010 US Environmental Protection Agency’s Tier II standards. The belt-driven, three-cam design has its valve train geometry aligned for maximum efficiency that adds up to a claimed 21% reduction in vibrations, 22% more fin area, and a 30% reduction in parts.
